Description  This class is for you if you desire to learn the disciplines that are available to us in our faith journey and how they can enhance our experiences. This class will lead you into becoming the vessel that God wants you to be through the discovery and practice of Spiritual Disciplines. Matthew 11:28-30 asks(paraphrased), "are
you tired and worn out? Come to Me - I will show you rest - keep company with me and you'll live freely." God's desire for the fulfillment of your life and purpose is to dig deep and discover your "best self." Discovering the Spiritual Disciplines will give you structure, consistency and purpose for your life. This is the second part of the class. The first session is NOT a prerequisite for taking this class. Each session will require home study, devotions, journaling, fasting and practical applications. The class will meet on Wednesdays from 7:15 to 8:30 PM. Some classes will be held via USTREAM on the Internet. Those without the Internet can be patched in via telephone.  The main text book for this class is Spiritual Disciplines Handbook Practices that Transforms Us, by Adele Ahlberg Calhoun.  We will also use Dr. Howard Thurman's books; The Centering Moment and Disciplines of the Spirit.

Class Time:  Wednesdays 7:15 PM to 8:30 PM.  Location: TBD
Rev. Mary L. Wilson, Instructor
